Efficiency Manitoba has several great insulation rebate programs designed to assist Manitoba homeowners in lowering the cost of additional insulation. Whether you own an existing home or you’re in the process of planning a new build, there are rebates available to help offset the costs of improving the energy efficiency of your home!
What We Offer
Lockport Insulation currently offers Efficiency MB’s Home Insulation Program. The aim of this program is to help Manitoba homeowners reduce their energy usage by offsetting some of the cost of adding insulation to their existing homes.
Here's How it Works
The process starts by reaching out to Lockport Insulation, a registered contractor with Efficiency MB, to arrange a time to perform your free in-home assessment to determine what improvements can be made to the home’s building envelope to decrease energy bills and improve the comfort of the living space. Most often, this includes sealing air leaks, adding attic ventilation, and topping up or replacing the insulation in the attic. It can also include adding insulation to exterior walls, attic knee walls, and foundation walls. During the estimate appointment, we also assess the home for eligibility for Efficiency MB's Home Insulation Rebate Program.
Next, we submit a quote to the homeowner detailing the needed improvements, along with a price for the work to be performed. At this time, we also provide an estimate of the total rebate the homeowner is eligible to receive. Once contract terms have been agreed upon, we apply for the rebate, wait until it has been approved, and then schedule a time to complete the work. Most of the time, work can be completed in 1 to 2 days.
Once the work is complete and the customer is satisfied, payment is made to Lockport Insulation. Finally, we submit the completion documents and Efficiency MB sends the applicable rebate to the homeowner in the mail!

New Homes Rebate Program

This program can be applied for by the homeowner or the builder, but must be applied for during the design phase of the project.
